Cornbread

 

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup yellow cornmeal

  •  cup white sugar

  • 3 ½ teaspoons baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup milk

  •  cup vegetable oil

  • 1 large egg

  • 1. Preheat oven to 400.

  • 2. Combine dry ingredients.

  • 3. Add wet ingredients and whisk until well combined.

  • 4. Pour into buttered cast iron skillet.  Bake until browned.  20-25 minutes.
